The first step in obtaining an MYK certificate is not choosing an occupation name at random, but identifying the national qualification and level that match the work actually performed. The certification body must have current authorization for that qualification, and units and examination types should be reviewed before the application is finalized.
1. Identify the qualification and level
The qualification code, level and revision should be evaluated together. The same occupation may have multiple levels. Mandatory and elective units affect both the examination scope and the final fee.
2. Submit the pre-application
An individual application uses one sector and one qualification, with the applicable units selected within that qualification. Corporate applications may include multiple sectors, qualifications and candidates. Privacy and communication preferences are recorded as part of the workflow.
3. Review units and examination types
Each unit may use a different assessment method. T1, T2, P1 and similar examination types are displayed according to the current qualification structure. Where elective units are required, the minimum valid combination is also checked.
4. Confirm fees and planning
The active tariff is reviewed at unit and examination-type level. Certificate printing is not included in examination fees and is charged separately only when the candidate passes and becomes entitled to certification.
5. Take the examination and follow the result
After identity verification, examination-site and equipment checks, the required theoretical and/or performance examinations are conducted. Results are communicated after the control and certification decision stages are completed.
